Ive never seen this film, which is crazy as I love horror and this era - well, mid 70s till the tail end of the 80s really - so, why it passed me by I have no idea. I read the book not long after it came out, and enjoyed it, but my understanding is there’s barely anything in common about book and movie. I know there are sequels too - are these all recommended ??? Or should I be cautious ??

Back in the early 70’s, we only had late night television on Friday nights and I remember sitting up watching this film sitting on the edge of my seat, it was so scary! Had I not been alone the fright and scaredness would have been missing!
